Melancthon At The Cross Roads – Presented to Melancthon Council. October 15

We asked Council to take 3 steps right away

1. Council should pass a unanimous resolutions stating their lack of support for the below the water table blast quarry
2. Council should pass an Interim Control By-Law which would create a pause in development, mandate a comprehensive review of its regulatory tool kit and 
3. Now that the application is public, Council should step up its public advocacy – convene town halls to express its concerns, convene expert forums where Council’s experts can explain their concerns and strengthen its media presence.
